W.C. Dennis Obituary
Willis Calvin “W.C.” Dennis,79, husband of Sharon Boyington Dennis, died Monday, August 15, 2022 at his residence, Scranton.
Mr. Dennis was born on March 12, 1943, in Florence County, son of the late William Ollie Dennis and Eula Mae Player Dennis. W.C. was a skilled craftsman and hardworker, who was loved by all who knew him.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 50 years, Sharon Boyington Dennis of Scranton, are his son, Jason Brantley Dennis of Scranton; 7 grandchildren; siblings, Bobby Dennis of Georgia, Frank Dennis of Florida, W.O. Dennis of Scranton, Maurice (Glenn) Gibbons of New Zion, Diane (Cabbage) Williamson of Kingstree and Cindy (Tommy) McGee of Ridgeway.
Mr. Dennis was preceded in death by a son, Calvin Dennis; 5 brothers, Earl Dennis, Leroy Dennis, Tony Dennis, Lavon Dennis and Roger Dennis; 5 sisters, Barbara Ann Hodge, Doris Fay Dennis, Ollie Mae Morris, Tootsie Ardis and Carolyn Robinson.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Lake City Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
