Tink Dennis

Tink Dennis, 73, husband of the late Joanne Odom Dennis, died Sunday, November 20, 2022, at McLeod Hospice House, Florence.

Mr. Dennis was born on February 24, 1949, son of the late Nat Dennis and Evelyn Barfield Dennis. He was of the Pentecostal Faith, was a great provider for his family, and was an avid hunter in his younger years. Tink retired from Vulcraft, after many years of service. He was a gardener, and shared his garden with many people. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. After his wife passed, he enjoyed taking care of his grandchildren.

Surviving are his daughter, Christy D. (Steven) Kirby of Lake City; grandsons, Rhett Kirby and Dawson Kirby, both of Lake City; sister, Joyce Dennis Stokes of Scranton; and many nieces and nephews.

Tink was preceded in death by his brothers, Sammy Dennis, Delmus Dennis, W.D. Dennis, Sr.; sister, Jeanene Dennis Miles.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Baldwin Matthews Cemetery, Lake City.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McLeod Hospice House, 1203 E. Cheves Street, Florence, SC, 29506.
