Mrs. Thelma Parrott Miles, 78, wife of the late Clinton Miles, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023 at McLeod Regional Center of the Pee Dee.
Mrs. Miles was born on November 17, 1944 in Florence County, SC, daughter of the late Alex L. “Al” Parrott and Martha Barfield Parrott. She was a member of Camp Branch Church of God of Prophecy. Mrs. Miles loved the Lord, her family and her church, along with her favorite two daughters-in-law, Ann and Jane. She enjoyed fishing with her husband before his passing and loved to sit in her swing watching hummingbirds, along with seeing the beauty of God’s nature in flowers. Mrs. Miles was a survivor of breast cancer.
Surviving are her children, Clifford (Ann) Miles, Juanita (Chris) Clifford, Valerie DuBose and Danny Ray (Jane) Miles, all of Scranton; sisters, Peggy Lee of Lake City, Marie (John) Gaymon of Scranton and Betty Scurry of Lake City; grandchildren, Lanotta (Chris) Springs of Coward, Scott Miles of Scranton, Vickie (Richie) Mills of Ruby, Clint (Amber) Nettles of Pamplico, Al Nettles of Scranton, Michelle (Michael) Ussery of Lake City, Candace (Lee) Worrell of Kingstree and Chance (Ashley) Miles of Olanta; 15 greatgrandchildren; brother-in-law, Richard “Jenky” Miles of Scranton; number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Miles was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Clinton Miles; son, Alex Miles; siblings, Lorena Ard and Lemeul “Julius” Parrott; sister-in-law, Evelyn Evans; brother-in-law, Davis Miles.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 29, 2023, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Strickland-Feagin Cemetery, Lake City.
The family will receive friends 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Carolina Funeral Home and also at the family’s home of 158 South Glendale School Road, Scranton.
