Shawn Williams

Shawn Williams, 53, husband of Brenda Williams, died Friday, February 12, 2021 at MUSC, Florence.

Shawn was born in Bellflower, California on August 24, 1967, son of Glen Williams and Sharon (Dr. Glenn) Thompson. He served 3 years in the Army, 4 years in the Navy and 29 years as a Merchant Marine. Shawn hauled cargo for AB- Boatswain, Seafarers International. Shawn loved to talk and never met a stranger. He was a hard worker and enjoyed fishing, spending time with his dogs and riding his motorcycle.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Brenda Williams are his step daughters, Brianna Fennell of Lake City, Alicia Mendiola of Scranton and Stephanie Mendiola of Lake City; sister, Renee Young of Riverside, California.

Funeral services will be 5:00 PM, Monday, February 15, 2021, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton.  

The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
