Odean Parrott

Odean Parrott of the Neck Community of Johnsonville, 87, passed away, Thursday, May 19, 2022, at her residence.

Mrs. Parrott was born on August 1, 1934, in Florence County, daughter of the late Marvin James Powers and Leecie Thompson Powers.

Surviving are her children, Barbara Marlow and Dessie (Ray) Fennell, both of Lake City, Roger Parrott of Johnsonville, Becky (J. J. Eaddy) Parrott of Andrews, James “J L” Parrott, Jr. of Johnsonville and Tanya Parrott of Florida; siblings, Gracie Matthews and Mary (Thomas) Filyaw, both of Johnsonville, Shelby (Jimmy) Kiser of Charlotte, NC and Lenew (Cora-Lee) Powers of Olanta; fifteen (15) grandchildren, thirty-one (31) great grandchildren and twelve (12) great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Parrott was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Parrott; her parents, Marvin James Powers and Leecie Thompson Powers; sons, Eugene Parrott, James Parrott and Terry Parrott; siblings, Laverne Powers, PeeBo Powers, Tommy Powers, Edna Lee, Leecie Lee Poston and Lucille Powers; best friend, Julia Mae Verner.

Funeral services will be 5:00 PM, Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, with burial to following at Eaddy-Ford Cemetery, Johnsonville, SC.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 5:00 PM, Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Carolina Funeral Home.
