Lynn Byrd

Alva Lynn Byrd, 62, died Sunday, September 19, 2021, at MUSC Health of Florence.

Mr. Byrd was born in Florence County on March 25, 1959, oldest son of Elijah Byrd and Nell Horne Byrd. He was a graduate of J. C. Lynch High School and was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. Lynn was a Foreman with Byrd Construction and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Surviving are his parents, Elijah and Nell Byrd of Coward; sons, Albert "Frog" (Nicole) Byrd of Pamplico and Bradley (Michelle) Byrd of Coward; grandchildren, Timothy Odom, Caleb James, Logan Bryd and Gabriel Byrd; sister, Jean (Dennis) Price of Coward; brothers, Jerry (Penny) Byrd and Terry (Rhonda) Byrd, both of Coward; mother of his children, Adline Byrd of Coward; special nieces and nephews; fur dog, Pokie; close friend, Donnie Collins.

Mr. Byrd was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Dean "Mickey" Byrd; and nephews, Kelvin Price and Jodie Price.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Hicks Cemetery, Coward.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.
