Louise C. Floyd

Mrs. Louise C. Floyd, 70, wife of David Floyd, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023 at McLeod Hospice House, surrounded by her family.

Louise was born on January 1, 1953, in North, SC, daughter of the late Lillian Chavis Cochran.  She was a member of Bible Temple and worked as a Bank Teller for many years.

Surviving are her husband of 51 years, David Floyd of Coward; children, Dalisa Elliott of Lake City, Cathy (Toby) Ackerman of Scranton, and Jason (Kristin) Floyd of Lake City; grandchildren, Madison Elliott and Carolina Elliott, both of Lake City, Samantha (Chris) Lamb of Coward, Cathryn Ackerman of Scranton, Jase Floyd, Ryan Floyd and Sarah Floyd, all of Lake City; great grandchildren, Talon Lamb and Vivian Lamb, both of Coward; sisters, Debbie (Jerry) Reynolds of Florence and Lauri Ann (Ryan) Bickel of Costa Rica; uncle, George (Linda) Chavis of North, SC; numerous special nieces and nephews; and other extended family who claimed her as “Ma Weez”.

Louise was preceded in death by a brother, Jessie Ray Cochran.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at The Bible Temple, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Monday, January 30, 2023 at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, and at other times, at the home of Cathy and Toby Ackerman, 2227 Old Creek Road, Scranton.

The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the staff of Amedisys Hospice and SC House Calls.
