Leo O'Neal McKnight, Jr.

Mr. Leo O’Neal McKnight, Jr. 79, husband of Avis McKnight, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence.

Mr. McKnight was born on November 27, 1944, in Florence, son of the late Leo O’Neal McKnight and Sally Fitch McKnight. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Avis McKnight of Florence; sons, Ricky (Melinda) McKnight of Florence and Robbie (Susan) McKnight of Effingham; step-children, Danny (Heather) Llewellyn of Union, Lenora (John) Crowley, Rachel Springs, both of Florence, and Wayne Llewellyn of Conway; grandchildren, Curtis DuBose, Katlynn Llewellyn, Caden Llewellyn, Kylah Llewellyn, Cody Cook, Aaron Cook, Skylar Springs, Madison Llewellyn, Peyton Llewellyn, Eli Llewellyn, Mackenzie Llewellyn, and Parker Llewellyn; and four great grandchildren.

Mr. McKnight was preceded in death by a grandson, Austin McKnight; granddaughter, Taylor Cook; sisters, Deborah Smith, Deloris Smith and Diane Owens; and a brother, Charlie McKnight.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Matthew Cemetery, Coward.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Monday, April 1, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home.
