Legrand Edward Yarborough, 78, of Effingham, husband of Vivian Elaine Evans Yarborough, died Tuesday, September 13, 2022, due to injuries sustained in an auto accident.
Mr. Yarborough was born on November 3, 1943, in Florence County, son of the late Otis Carvin Yarborough and Evelyn Poston Yarborough. In 1985, he became owner and operator of his own stump grinding business. He attended Pleasant Grove Church of God of Prophecy. Mr. Yarborough was a Christian man who loved God, was a hard-working farmer, loved his family, and enjoyed hunting & fishing.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Vivian Elaine Evans Yarborough of Effingham, are his daughters, Carol “Lynn” Yarborough (boyfriend, Tony) of Effingham, Kimberly Yarborough of Illinois and Mitzi (Josh) Davis of Evansville, Indiana; step- granddaughter, Ruthie Coombs of Pueblo, CO; sisters, Ella Christmas and Mary Ann Pegg, both of Fayetteville, NC; cousin, Iris Conoly of Elgin, SC.
Mr. Yarborough was preceded in death by siblings, Austin Yarborough, Lucille Johnston, David Yarborough and Buddy Yarborough.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Shiloh Church of God of Prophecy, Coward.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
