Lavone Eugene "BoBo" Lee Obituary

Lavone Eugene “BoBo” Lee, 74, husband of the late Gail Nexsen Lee, passed away Monday, January 23, 2023 at his home in Kingstree, surrounded by his family.

Mr. Lee was born on March 1, 1948, in Florence County, son of the late William Hillard Lee and Leola Tedder Lee. He was a Veteran in the United States Army and was a retired truck driver with Southeastern Trucking Company. Mr. Lee enjoyed fishing and cooking for his family and friends.   

Surviving are his sons, Greg Lee of Kingstree and William (Doryelle) Lee of North Charleston; his granddaughters who were the “apple of his eye”, Shaina Lee of Kingstree and Alice Lee of North Charleston; brother, Danny (Stella) Lee of Cades; sister, Gloria “Betty” (Gerald) Poston of Pamplico; sister-in-law, Linda Lee of Long Beach, MS; daughter-in-law, Angel W. Lee of Kingstree; special friend, Jeanette Crawford of Kingstree; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Lee was preceded in death by a son, Russell Lee and a brother, Ervin Lee.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Carolina Funeral Home.

The family would like to “Thank” Amedisys Hospice Team and Dr. Benjamin Lamb for their wonderful care during Bo’s final days.  

Private burial will be at a later date.
