Elliot Price Powell

Elliot Price Powell, 27, died on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at his residence.

Elliot was born on May 12, 1994 in Florence County, son of Eddie L. Powell and Peggy Powell-Baxley. Elliot was a graduate of Johnsonville High School and worked at Courtyard by Marriott, Florence, as a night auditor and environmental services supervisor. He was a free spirit, had a colorful soul, was the life of the party and he marched to his own beat. Elliot was a wonderful son, friend, brother and hard worker. He was well respected at his place of employment. He loved watching TV, listening to music, drawing, he always was willing to help anyone and up for a good time.

Surviving are his father, Eddie L. Powell, of Hemingway; mother, Peggy Powell-Baxley of Johnsonville; bonus dad, Chris Baxley of Johnsonville; brothers, Benjamin Shey Powell and Christopher Chase Baxley, both of Johnsonville; grandparents, Edward “Fred” Powell & Barbara “Goldie” Powell, of Hemingway; bonus grandmother, Susan Altman “Granny  Fred” of Lake City; many aunts, uncles and cousins; special aunt and longtime friend, Jessica Fennell; dear cousin, Katyln Fennell, who all grew up together.  

Elliot was preceded in death by his grandfather, Herman Fennell; grandmother, Kathy L. McKissick; bonus grandpa, Gary McKissick.

Memorial service will be 7:00 PM, Monday, June 14, 2021 at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends 6:00 – 7:00 PM, Monday, June 14, 2021, at Carolina Funeral Home.
