Debra McGee Obituary

Mrs. Debra Kirby McGee, 65, of Lake City, wife of Ben McGee, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024, at McLeod Regional Medical Center of the Pee Dee.

Mrs. McGee was born on April 19, 1959, in Charlotte, NC, daughter of the late Samuel Kirby and Mary Cook Kirby. She worked as a CNA Home Health Specialist for 15 years and was well loved by everyone. She enjoyed attending church as much as she could and loved working outside gardening. Her best time was spent with her family and friends.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Ben McGee of Lake City, are her daughter, Christina (Danny) Browder, Larry (Jessica) McGee and Wade McGee; grandchildren, Dymond Browder, Devyn Browder, Parker McGee, David Brown, Alaina McGee and John Goodman; great grandchildren, Adeline Brown and Lincoln Brown; sister, Penny Matthews; nephew, Dillon Matthews; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. McGee was preceded in death by brothers, Ronald Kirby, Dennis Kirby and Wayne Kirby.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Matthew Cemetery, Coward.
