Dawn Edwards

Melissa Dawn Edwards, 48, died Thursday, September 23, 2021 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital, Monroe, Michigan.

Dawn was born on March 1, 1973 in Portsmouth Virginia, daughter of the late Janice Claire Lee McMillian and Everett Wallard McMillian, Sr. Dawn was a graduate of Wilson High School and was a homemaker.

Surviving are her son, Austin Barrett Edwards of Florence; grandchildren, Austin Grey Edwards and Harlee Dawn Edwards, both of Florence; sister, Tayna (Richard) SoJourner; brother, Everett Wallard (Missy) McMillian, Jr.

Dawn was predeceased in death by a sister, Michelle Rallings. 

A Celebration of Life will be 6:00 PM, Monday, October 4, 2021, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
