Daniel Ross Godwin, 68, husband of Darlyn Miller Godwin, died Saturday, May 14, 2022, at McLeod Hospice House, Florence, after an illness.
Mr. Godwin was born on February 16, 1954, in Bainbridge, Maryland, son of the late Samuel Edward Godwin, Sr. and Merle Virginia Coker Godwin. He was a graduate of Hebron High School and retired from DSM-Kingstree as a Production Specialist. Mr. Godwin was a member of Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church and was a former trustee at the church. He was a master carpenter, enjoyed fishing, Clemson football and spending time with his family.
Surviving is his wife, Darlyn M. Godwin of Florence; daughter, Lori Ann (Tommy) Goff of Turbeville; grandchildren, Gracelyn Danielle Coker, Garrett Quentin Coker and Lexi Ann Goff; sisters, Carol (Jon) Gause of Florence and Donna McDaniel of Scranton.
Mr. Godwin was preceded in death by his first wife, Vina Godwin; brothers, Samuel Edward Godwin, Jr. and William David Godwin; and son-in-law, Quent Coker.
Funeral services will be 5:00 PM, Monday, May 16, 2022, at Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church, Turbeville with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 5:00 PM, Monday, May 16, 2022, at the church prior to the services.
