Carl Altman

Carl Hazzard Altman, 75, husband of the late Eugenia Poston Altman, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center.

Carl was born on September 30, 1947, in Williamsburg County, son of the late CH Altman and Pearl Thompson Altman.  He was a member of Midway Baptist Church and was a Deacon. Carl was a Mason, a lifetime farmer and retired from Carolina Heating & Cooling.

Surviving is his daughter, Melanie Poston; grandchildren, Jaime Brooke (Travis) McAlister, Skyler (Ronim) Castellanos, Madison McDaniel and Ashton McDaniel; great grandson, Gunner McAlister; sisters, Mary Altman, Gwen Altman, Norma Altman and Penny Altman; brother, Gene Altman; a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Carl was preceded in death by his brothers, LeFay Altman, Randy Altman and Timmy Altman.

Funeral services will be  11:00 AM, Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Midway Baptist Church, Hemingway, with burial to follow at Eaddy-Ford Cemetery, Johnsonville.

The family will receive friends 7:00 – 9:00 PM, Friday, November 18, 2022 at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.
