Carey Lee Jeffords

Carey Lee Jeffords, 69, husband of the late Laura Lee Jeffords, died Thursday, July 22, 2021, at his residence.

Mr. Jeffords was born on November 23, 1953, in Florence County, son of the late Willie Jeffords and Marie Matthews Jeffords. Carey was a retired welder having worked at Pee Dee Tank and later Socar, which is now known as New Millennium. He enjoyed gardening and playing his guitar.

Surviving are his sons, Danny (Melissa) Jeffords of Virginia and Al (Sarah) Goodrich of Kingstree; daughter, Amanda Jeffords of Coward; 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; brother, James Jeffords.

Mr. Jeffords was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; siblings, Willie Joe Jeffords, Mary Ann Williams, Larry Jeffords and Bertha Mae Church.

Memorial service will be 11:30 AM, Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Coward Baptist Church.
