Brenda Baxley Obituary

Brenda McElveen Baxley, 60, died Friday, March 26, 2021, at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence.

Brenda was born on January 25, 1961 in Florence County, a daughter of Rachel Day McElveen and the late Marion Earl McElveen. She was a graduate of Timmonsville High School and was a member of Pleasant Grove Church of God of Prophecy. Before her health declined she worked in the medical records department at Carolina Hospital in Florence and enjoyed working in her yards.

Surviving are her sons, Travis Baxley and Justin Baxley, both of Coward; grandchildren, Madalynn Baxley, Austin Baxley and Gayge Miles; ; mother, Rachel Day McElveen of Timmonsville; sisters, Cynthia McElveen (Bill) Thompkins of Effingham, Pam Filyaw, Teresa Harper of Florence and Deresa McElveen (Wayne) Teal of Timmonsville; and sister-in-law, Linda Morris.

Brenda was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Danny Ray Baxley; mother and father-in-law, Milton and Hazel Baxley; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Baxley.

Memorial services will be 7:00 PM Monday, March 29, 2021 at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
