Brantley Seldon Wise, I

Mr. Brantley Seldon Wise, I, 75, of Lake City, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at his residence.

Mr. Wise was born on January 23, 1949, in Florence County, son of the late Wilbur Wise and Nollie Powell Wise. He retired as a salesman for Hyman Auto Sales and attended Williams Hill Free Will Baptist Church. He was a clean, sharp dressed man, who loved God, prayer and his family. Mr. Wise was a NASCAR fan and a big fan of Dale Earnhardt. He liked Shag Dancing, working in his yards and fishing at the Jetties.

Surviving are his fiancé, Thayedelle Pate of Lake City; son, Brantley (Lisa) Wise, II of Conway; granddaughter, Heather Wise of El Paso, TX; sisters, Vera (Norton) Cribb of Pleasant Hill, Norma Jean Hanna of Prospect, Audrey (Jack) Haselden of Gresham, and  Esda (Larry) Baxley of Johnsonville; brother, Kenneth (Sue) Wise of Baltimore, MD; many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Wise was preceded in death by his first wife, Connie Parrott Wise, followed by his second wife, Winnie Johnson Wise; siblings, Mildred Lyidery, Buddy Gene Wise, Shirley W. Moore and Wilbur R. Wise, Jr.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Friday, March 15, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Lake City Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Carolina Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Mr. Wise, 366 Gaddy Street, Lake City, SC 29560.
