Betty Sue McElveen (Weatherford) Brown

Betty Sue Brown, 59, wife of the late, Kevin Ray Brown, died Sunday, September 26, 2021, at McLeod Regional Medical Center.

Betty Sue was born on December 20, 1961, in Florence County, daughter of Betty Jean Weatherford Allen and the late Allison Marquette Weatherford, Sr. Betty Sue attended South Florence High School and graduated from the Florence Darlington Technical Cosmetology School.  She was a member of Lake City Pentecostal Holiness Church and was manager of B&B Finance Company in Lake City. She was a member of the APA Pool League.

Surviving include her children,  Christopher (Tracey Jenkins) McElveen of Lake City, Rebecca Weatherford Stewart of Kingstree, Jennifer (Ric) Wise of Effingham;  Allen McElveen of Bonneau; grandchildren, Michael, Brandon, Allison, Andrew, Eric, Matthew, Sara, Jamie and Cady; mother and step-father, Betty Jean and Sherwood Allen of Coward; brother, Allison Marquette Weatherford, Jr of Fayetteville, NC; former husband, LeRoy McElveen; former daughter-in-law, Rhonda McElveen; step-daughters, Kelsey B. (Adam) Driggers of Scranton and Kara Brown of Pamplico; step-grandchildren, Easton and Naten; step-brother, Tommy Allen.

Betty Sue was preceded in death by sister, Jean Weatherford.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery, Pamplico, SC.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service, at the funeral home.
