Annie (Poston) Powell

Annie Poston Powell, 104, wife of the late Carl Taft Powell, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Heritage Home of Florence.

Mrs. Powell was born on June 20, 1918, in the Hannah Community, daughter of the late Lex Poston and Clinnie P. Poston. She was a member of Union Baptist Church and a former member of Evergreen Baptist Church.

Surviving are her son, Ryan L. (Anne) Powell of Columbia; grandchildren, Kimberly P. (Rocky) Fretz of Murrells Inlet and Ryan Bradley Powell of Austin, Texas; great grandchildren, Ryan Walker Powell, Ella Powell and Andrew Myers Powell; sister, Vonnie Poston of Thomson, Georgia.

Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her siblings, Bussy Jerd Poston, Willie Poston, Wilson Poston, Beulah White, Ervin “Chuck” Poston, Eloise Wilson and Edna Poston.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, August 12, 2022 at Union Baptist Church, Pamplico, with burial to follow at St John FWB Church Cemetery, Pamplico.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at Union Baptist Church.
